We came across a strange little problem the other day where one of our clients could not send email from their Apple Macs Mail program.
They had set up their hotmail account and could receive but could not send. They had also just recently moved to BT and had the new home hub installed. Email continued to send perfectly whilst using a Vodafone 3g dongle.

It took a while to find the solution, but we fixed it and now we're passing on the secret.
